Mr. Sanjay Varma is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine (BM), Bachelor of Surgery (BS), and Masters of Science (MS), as well as being a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of England (FRCS.) Mr. Varma has been given the honor of practicing at the Nuffield Health Hospital and the Spire Leicester Hospital, both in Leicester, and also at the BMI Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln.
Mr. Sanjay Varma earned several medical degrees at the highly regarded All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in New Delhi, India. He also obtained his MS (Masters of Surgery) post graduate degree at the AIIMS. Mr. Varma earned his credentials as a plastic surgeon at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where he remains a Fellow.
Mr. Sanjay Varma has travelled to hospitals around the United Kingdom in order to receive the very best training. These included Hammersmith Hospital in London, Harefield Hospital in Uxbridge, Leicester Royal Infirmary in Leicester, Bradford Royal Infirmary in Bradford, and the St. James University Hospital. Mr. Varma was appointed by the UK National Health Service as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, as well as being appointed to the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicester Royal Infirmary. Mr. Varma is a licensed examiner for the MRCS exam, the Intercollegiate Board in Plastic Surgery, and for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is currently on the Specialist Register of the GMC for plastic surgery, in addition to serving as the UK based consultant plastic surgeon for The Taj Medical Group.
After his appointment to Consultant in the fall of 1993, Mr. Varma established his private practice specializing in cosmetic and plastic surgery, and quickly became very successful. He has chosen to base his private practice at The Spire Leicester Hospital in Leicester, BMI Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln, and The Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital in Leicester. Mr. Sanjay Varma’s patients are mostly from the Leicester and Lincoln area, however his NHS clinics can be found in Leicester, Mowbray, Loughborough, Melton, Oakham, and Lincoln.
Mr. Sanjay Varma specialises in general plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and several cosmetic surgeries as well. His main concern as a practitioner is the level of patient satisfaction he can provide. To accomplish this, Mr. Varma engages in open, courteous dialogue with his patient which allows both patient and surgeon to understand what the other expects from the chosen procedure. Mr. Varma is experienced in a multitude of procedures including several types of breast surgeries, such as breast uplift, enlargement, reduction, and surgery for nipple correction. Male breast reduction surgery is also provided at his clinics. Facial reconstruction is another area in which Mr. Varma specializes, with procedures such as rhinoplasty, upper and/or lower eyelid correction, ear correction surgeries such as reduction, and facelifts. Body shaping procedures including arm or thigh lifts, abdominoplasty, and liposuction are all commonly performed by Mr. Varma at his practice. His friendly staff will get back with you as soon as possible to arrange you first consultation visit. At that visit, Mr. Varma will meet with you and discuss, in detail, the steps involved in the procedure as well as the reasons why you have chosen the particular procedure. The reason for this discussion is to make sure that you, as the patient, are well informed and aware of the details regarding the procedure you have chosen. New technology has even allowed for computer simulations to be used to show what your face will look like after receiving a procedure such as nose reshaping or a similar procedure. A follow up consultation is offered to all of Mr. Varma’s cosmetic surgery patients. There is no charge for this second visit, and it is offered to ensure that you are satisfied with the choices you have made.
