Q. Hello, I have come across non surgical nose reshaping whilst looking into nose surgery. I have a bump in my nose, broken when I was a teenager I think, and it has haunted me ever since. I am really self conscious about it. I live in Inverness but I see you do not have an expert in this area. Please could you tell me the costs involved and whether, after the first fillers need replacement if you can inject a permanent filler. I saw this mentioned on an American website. Many thanks.,
A. Hi – I don’t inject permanent fillers because they get infected and migrate even many years after the initial injection, so it’s just not worth the risk. In fact, many insurance companies don’t insure doctors for injections of permanent fillers because they consider them too dangerous. So, for many reasons the only permanent fillers I will use are from your own body – fat, dermis, fascia, etc. A rhinoplasty can be done with fillers, and the smoothing has improved the nose in many people in the past. If you want to come for a consultation I can show you a few pictures, and you can decide after that what you would like to do. You can have a consultation and treatment at the same time with a non surgical rhinoplasty
