Q. hI. I am a 19 year old student and have a unsightly humped nose obtained via injury. i was wanting to know your opinion on my chances of having rhinoplasty through the nhs. and if so do you have any idea of their waiting times.,
A. Thank you for your enquiry. I suggest that you discuss this matter with your GP, as he or she would need to refer you. A significant change in the nasal shape due to trauma, it is usually considered for treatment through the NHS, but local guidelines may vary. The waiting time has become shorter, but in general still involves several months for low priority interventions.
