I would like more info/advice about the septorhinoplasty procedure to fix the breathing problem

Q. I would like more info/advice about the septorhinoplasty procedure to fix the breathing problem I have had over the last few months. I have seen the doctor about the problem and although it may be a possability of getting it done on the NHS it all depends on how long I will have to wait for treatment.,

A. Hi there. I can certainly do a septorhinoplasty for you privately, and I can see you at my clinic at La Belle Forme for a consultation and I can book you in for treatment. If there is a particular time that suits you best, I’m sure I can fit you in if I have space available. At the moment, I have a bit of a waiting list, but I can often squeeze someone in as an extra during various days and times when I’m available for extra cases. If you want to book an appointment please feel free to email my reception desk on enquiries@labelleforme.co.uk to get the earliest date sent to you. If that’s not suitable, my reception staff can ask me if I have any spare capacity for extra cases.

Im thinking of having septorhinoplasty for my breathing difficulties

Q. Im thinking of having septorhinoplasty for my breathing difficulties. my main concern is the shape it will leave my nose and if it will make the breatyhing issue worse. Is it common to have complications for this type of surgery?,

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, actually a septorhinoplasty often helps your breathing as the septum itself can cause blockage of the nasal passages. I think it would be worthwhile discussing your concerns fully with your surgeon at your consultation. They will be able to assess the inside of your nose and the nasal passages and give you an opinion as to whether surgery would alter your breathing pattern. Many thanks for your enquiry, I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with surgery. Best Wishes, Yours sincerely Prashant Govilkar Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, Aurora Clinics

Id really like to find a soluition to my snoring problems

Q. Dear Sir. Id really like to find a soluition to my snoring problems. This is causing great problems at home and I although I have sort help from the doctor and he has assisted me in the short term he said the best solution would be to see a plastic surgeon.,

A. Thank you for your enquiry. Snoring is more frequently dealt with by ENT surgeons. I would recommend Mr William Grant, who is based at the Cromwell Hospital in London, on the basis that I am familiar with his work. I’m convinced there are many specialists across the UK who can deliver high-quality services, but being a plastic surgeon I’m not so familiar with the ENT group of specialists. Plastic surgeons can contribute improvement in some instances of snoring, by means of septo-rhinoplasty interventions, if the cause of snoring is primarily an event related obstructed nasal airway.

I have difficulties in breathing more like ” asthma” and am plaining to have a rhinoplasty

Q. I have difficulties in breathing more like ” asthma” and am plaining to have a rhinoplasty … the problem is ” i cant breath if i closed my nosed ” like am gettin less oxyen and my heart start pumoin fast …the question is would i be able to breath well and dont have any problems after the waking up of the rhinoplasty? i just wanna know if am candidate to have a rhinoplasty or not … thx in advance,

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you would need to discuss very carefully your breathing with your surgeon as any surgery to the nose can potentially limit your breathing through your nasal air passages. You would need to emphasize to your surgeon that the nasal breathing is important to you and discuss whether this would be affected with surgery. I do wish you the best of luck with this but do think it would be important for you to discuss your breathing fully with your surgeon prior to your operation. I was attacked a few years ago and my nose was broken and since then my breathing has deteriorated

Q. I was attacked a few years ago and my nose was broken and since then my breathing has deteriorated and I suffer from asmtha. I asked my GP if I could have this corrected on the NHS and he laughed at me and said no chance without even looking at me. I am not in a position to pay to have it done privately I would appreciate any advice.,

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, fractures of the nose can certainly affect breathing by narrowing the air passages through which the air comes in. If you are having problems breathing it would be best to perhaps see another GP who could refer you to an ENT surgeon who could examine the inside of your ear and give you advice about the best possible treatment for you. Many thanks for your enquiry and I do wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with your consultation and possible treatment. I have suffered for a long time with continous sinusitus and have been managing by using nasel strips

Q. I am interested in finding a reputable doctor to fix my nose. I have suffered for a long time with continous sinusitus and have been managing by using nasel strips but I have no wish to wear them in public. What can be done to help me with my breathing issue?,

A. From your symptoms you seemed to be having symptoms related to possibly deformism of septum, you need to see a plastic surgeon specially inclined in rhinoplasty and septo-rhinoplasty or a European surgeon who specializes in nasal surgery. You can get this information from the website of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons or the previous association of EMP surgeons.
