Q. Im 24 years old and have quite a large bumpy nose. How can I improve the look of my nose using through non-surgical methods or plastic surgery?,

 

A. Thank you for your inquiry. In essence, the non surgical approach only allows for increase in the size of the nose, and because of this the types of change that are suitable include small asymmetries, enhancing the top of the bridge so that the bump seems less contrasting; the tip of the nose can be increased also, as well as the underside of the tip. If you are looking for a straight and smaller nose, surgery is likely to be the suitable option.

Q. I have a large dent on the tip of my nose and have had 2 surgeries to attemt to fix this issue but both have failed. I recently had filler around 4 months ago and this has also failed to fix my problem. Any suggestions as to what treatment may work?,

Q. mr lucian ion thanks for answering all my questions as its just been 7 months and few days i had open septo rhinoplasty where my dorsum and my tip is reduced way too much and my tip is turned upwards i want to ask you how long should i wait before i book an appointment with you and reading your answers make me feel everything can be fixed many thanks,

 

A. Thank you for your enquiry. It is possible to proceed to a consultation at this stage, which would give you more time to prepare for the surgery. The surgery however is best deferred until 9 to 12 months following the previous intervention. At the time of the consultation it is possible to define the changes that you would like to achieve with the assistance of computer simulation.

Q. Can we widen the dorsum without augumentation of the bridge as i dont want to raise the bridge,

 

A. Thank you for your enquiry. Yes indeed, it is possible to widen the bridge of the accounts without raising it, either using spreader grafts or onlay grafts, but you have to appreciate that on a three-quarter view, or semi-profile, the impression may be of slight bump on the bridge. if you want to evaluate the impact of this type of change, I would recommend a consultation using 3-D imaging, which allows you to rotate the images and appreciate better the impact of some potential changes.

Q. I hate my nosetrill , it looks big, I probably caused by having a bad habit of picking my nose. I cant wear sun glasses as it make the two round nosetrill even look bigger. A. Thank you for your enquiry. The bridge of the nose can be widened on a temporary basis using injectable fillers. A long-term solution requires repeat surgery and can involve either onlay – building up using either the patient’s own tissues or other materials, or a change in the relationship between the sidewalls and the middle wall (septum), typically using spreader grafts. Widening the tip of the nose can be also achieved using injections for a temporary correction, on-lay or the reshaping of the cartridges of the tip.

Q. Hello, Could you tell me if you perform a non surgical nose job? I have had this done in the past to lift the tip of my nose slightly, i liked the results, however i dont think the doctor who did it had much practise in this area. i believe there are ways to reduce flaring using botox and then of course using the filler to create projection. i only want subtle results and i dont feel quite ready to consider surgery. could you help? thanks,
