A. Thank you for your inquiry. Recovery from rhinoplasty surgery is relatively straightforward. The most in pleasant part is during the first week, when most patients find it very difficult to breathe through their nose, because of the internal silicone splints. Once the splints have come out, I recommend using saline nasal rinse in order to keep the nose clean, and avoid having to blow your nose. Return to work is usually at 2 weeks and return to exercise approximately 3 weeks following the operation. Full recovery however takes much longer, but during this period of time the appearance of the nose tends to be relatively normal.
