I play rugby and last year i broke my nose, after ten days approximatly i had surgery

Q. I play rugby and last year i broke my nose, after ten days approximatly i had surgery, this was in september the surgery was very nice, no brusises at all, the recovery went very well, but i would like to play rugby again, the doctor told me that now I can play rugby, but the thing is that the tip of my nose is hard, y can move the tip to the sides, but not push it to me, I don´t know if you understand me, but the thing is that i am afraid that if someone hits it it will break again,so when is the tip of the nose getting soft again?, that is the main question,

Q. Id like to ask what is the estimated cost of nose reshaping and how long is the procedure starting from first appointment and ending with the full recovery.,
 
A. Hi there. My prices for rhinoplasty can be found by calling 01415520828 or emailing enquiries@labelleforme.co.uk. The first thing that happens is a consultation at my clinic. After that, we book you in for the surgery date. You have your operation, go home the following day. You come back to the hospital a week later and then six weeks later. I see you about 6 months and maybe a year later or thereabouts. You’ll be bruised for a couple of weeks, and most people stay off work during this time, and will have internal scarring and swelling for several months afterwards. The final results are seen at around a year or two after the surgery. I hope that helps.

I have had a depression on the left side of my nose by the tip for over a year

I have had a GP referral to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for rhinoplasty

Q. Hi there, I have had a GP referral to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for rhinoplasty and have received a letter to say I would be interviewed by psychologists before being approved for surgery. The referral was June 2010 and still not had appointment. Can you let me know the estimated waiting time from referral to surgery if approved? Thank you.,
 
A. I’m sorry I don’t know for sure how long the waiting time is but I think it’s many many months. Once you’ve seen the psychologists, you may pass their assessment and only then you can proceed to being referred to a surgeon. If you are referred to a surgeon then there’s another wait to see the surgeon and another wait from the surgeon’s consultation to surgery. So, I’m afraid there’s usually a long wait for surgery on the NHS, and sometimes it amounts to a few years in total. Sorry about that but the NHS isn’t quick for rhinoplasty. It is quick for things like cancer treatments and injuries, but I’m afraid there is a wait for non urgent treatments.

Q. Please can you help my nose is gradually becoming more misshaped over time and it has what appears to be like dents in it above the nostrils. It feels very uncomfortable when I make certain facial expressions and wanted to know if this was a common complaint and what can be done about it.,
 
A. Thank you for your enquiry. Ahh it is highly unusual to have a problem with the shape of your nose which is progressive at time. I think you need an appointment with your GP initial conversation and then a referral to other than ENT surgeon or a plastic surgeon with experience in nasal surgery. From what you described this is not a common complaint, although im sure once it is correctly diagnose there could be a solution to these.
