Q. Hi, I am really unhappy with my nose. Other people comment saying its fine but its the first thing i look at in the mirror and its starting to effect me emotionally and mentally. Its got a bump on the top that is noticable on when looking at me from the side. I often try to make sure i facing people who look at me. I am seriously wanting this reduced. Not only this but its not straight. The nostrils lean a few milimeters to my right which seems to affect my breathing. It doesnt effect it majorly but when i breathe in through my nose my left nostril closes a bit. if i breath a tiny bit harder the left nostril closes entirely. It isnt really noticable when looking at me untill i lean back and you can see the bone inbetween the nostrils is misshapen I am a heavy breather naturally especially when sleeping. Its causing me to snore which is effecting my relationship. I am also prone to headaches, which i originally thought was my eyes but i have been tested on a number of occasions and they are fine. Is it possible a lack of airflow through my left nostril compared to the right could be the cause of this? Along with waking up with a blocked nose on many occasions? Finally do you have any idea how much this would roughly cost to be rectified? As when searching online many places require a consultation first and i would feel embarassed if i went and then realise i just cant afford it? Do the nhs do nose jobs if so would i be elligable? Many thanks,
A. Hi there. I think you have a lot of concerns that, as you quite rightly say, are best discussed at a consultation. My prices are all on line at www.labelleforme.co.uk in the prices section of the website. When you do have a consultation you may find that the surgeon is able to do some of the things that concern you but not all of them, and so you may not, for example, stop snoring, your breathing may still be heavy and your headaches may not go away completely. So, there may be somethings that can be done to help, but, as I say, you do need to have a consultation first.
