Mr. James Murphy performs consultations and plastic surgery at the Spire Hospital Manchester in Whalley Range, where he is a consultant cosmetic plastic surgeon. He has a private practice with patients from all over Manchester and elsewhere. Mr. Murphy is also a NHS consultant at the Didsbury, Manchester Christie Hospital.
Mr. Murphy began his surgical training in 1992, and had completed his fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in England by 1996. He trained in many locations, including London, Oxford, Australia, and the United States. He achieved a Master of Surgery post-graduate degree after his research at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Buckinghamshire. He received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic surgery in 2002.
Listed on the specialist register of the GMC for plastic surgery, Mr. Murphy is also a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is an NHS plastic surgery consultant at Christie Hospital, Manchester.
Mr. Murphy's many articles on the field of plastic surgery have been extensively published, and he presents his work at international plastic surgery conferences. He teaches at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, and has been a plastic and cosmetic surgeon for more than ten years.
